That awkward moment when you possess another body and get stuck.
The werewolf wonder twins are back to play creepy mind games with Nora and Josh when Nora’s abusive ex pops by Monster General to say “hi” and “sorry about that time I put you in the hospital because I was a psycho.” You can tell when the purebreds are up to no good when they give each other that knowing eye-smirk. You know the one I’m talking about. The one that’s just a little too sensual for siblings on basic cable to be sharing.
Actually, there was quite a bit of awkward sexual tension tonight, from the flashbacks of Aidan’s unfortunate facial hair giving his frisky fledgling a full-blown dose of foreplay-to-nowhere when he thinks cheating on vampire princess Suren is a good life choice, to Sally’s satisfied post-possession sex smirk, minutes before realizing she’s stuck in her meatsuit, to the pale, naked puppy pile in the woods the morning after the latest full-moon. Everybody is getting naked and partying a little too hard, waking up on a sofa that smells like cigarettes and jungle juice, missing a sock, and seriously wondering if this is the same house they passed out in… oh wow, only three hours ago?
I guess that’s the whole point of Being Human, right? Make the same mistakes, make variations of previously acknowledged mistakes, and ignore your former and current addict friends when they say, “Hey, you don’t look so hot, maybe you should stop possessing that chick so you can bang her boyfriend?” Ahem, Sally.
Mother is back to check in on Princess Suren’s progress as people. It’s taken a few episodes, but I’m gradually starting to like Suren, mostly because in comparison to her stone-cold mother, she’s a crazy (undead) person, but one who, I truly think wants to please those around her. If she and Aidan could just find a healthier way to bond than draining a corpse and reminiscing about the good old days, I think they could do some good for Boston’s vampire population. Aidan feels bad about that whole orphan thing, and honestly, he could probably get Suren to cut them some slack just because it would piss her mother off. I’ll stop short of saying that they could hit up celebrity vampire rehab together since that worked out so well for Aidan’s last blood-sucking girlfriend, but like I said, they could at least find new ways to bond.
It’s a sad day when Princess Headcase and Aidan the Cold Turkey Wannabe appear to have the healthiest relationship on the show at the moment. I mean, at least Suren hasn’t eaten her ex (yet), Nora.
