Aidan: 1, Wonder Twins: -1.
And here I thought this season was starting to get boring. My mistake. This week on Being Human, Norah embraces her inner-wolf, Aidan goes a-hunting, and Sally gets some face time with her tall, dark and handsome reaper. Yeah, I smell some ghost romance in the coming weeks.
Norah returns to work because the HR department got huffy about her blowing through sick leave in while she digested the remnants of her unfortunate ex. She’s espousing the doctrine of the Werewolf Wonder Twins, very Zen in a homicidal way. Josh is appropriately horrified. I’m more confused than anything. I mean, at first scratch, Norah was less okay with her werewolf than Josh, our quintessential monster who only wants to be a real boy. She goes from fretting over chocolate to brazenly bloodthirsty pretty quickly. I almost hope she’s been brainwashed or something. When I have friends who adopt insane philosophies insanely fast, that tends to be the case. Just put the kool-aide down, Norah. It’s going to be okay.
Oh oh oh, or maybe it’s the first kill? Once the wolf tastes human flesh, it cannot be tamed. I’d be okay with that. I just don’t want Norah to be a run of the mill crazy person. I like her. I also like Werewolf Mimi-Siku a lot more when he isn’t perfecting his emo kid routine and that’s hard for him to avoid when Norah’s new idea of a good date is a naked romp in the woods, followed by a nice feast on vampire flesh.
Speaking of which, I’m totally bummed that Vampire Policelady Cecelia got eaten. She didn’t take any BS. And now Aidan and Princess Suren are going to have to start all over building their League of Extraordinary Vampires. Way to ruin everything, werewolves.
But hey, Aidan got his. In one of the more startling scenes of this season (maybe even the entire series) Aidan meets up with the Wonder Twins and the Puppy Lovers the morning after their transformation and just blows Connor away with Heggeman’s magic monster killing gun. We are officially down one Wonder Twin. Now I’m going to have to think of a new snarky moniker. Thanks.
While Josh and Aidan are running around the woods, Sally finds herself haunted by her murderer’s ghost. Danny’s cell mate strangled him and he decides that to spend his afterlife killing Sally again. Apparently, Danny isn’t the most creative guy in Boston, evidenced by what Aidan calls “an extremely lame Poltergeist homage” in reference to his chair sculpture. Sally’s sexy reaper comes to the rescue when it looks like Danny might just get history to repeat itself, poofing him out of existence and harshing on Sally’s eternally grateful squee by telling her that he’ll be back tomorrow to reap her. Sally spends her final day rehearsing a heartfelt goodbye speech for Aidan and Josh, only to shelve it when both are too tired/pissed off/sad/whatever to pay attention to her when they get back from the worst woodland hike ever. See. Werewolves ruin everything.
